West Midlands
The West Midlands ADASS regional branch supports 14 Directors in shaping adult social care services in the region. Our vision is to promote independence, social justice and thriving communities in the West Midlands through sustainable social care and health systems, while ensuring an effective response to the new Care Quality Commission (CQC) assurance process.
Current objectives cover four main areas:
Statutory duties, reform & assurance: Prepare for CQC assurance process; implementing specific support offer to 14 councils within the first 6 months of 2024.
Safe support: Ensure a sustainable care market & workforce with effective NHS relations; implementing specific initiatives & achieving measurable targets in 24/25.
Working with people: Promoting social justice, supporting fair and thriving local communities & economies by implementing specific initiatives to achieve measurable outcomes within the next 2 years.
Leadership – Improvement & Innovation: Implement specific digital, data & research initiatives to drive innovation & achieve measurable improvements within the next 3 years.
