About us

About ADASS

We are a membership organisation for those working in adult social care.

As a charity we work with professionals, other organisations and people with lived experience to influence decision makers, policy and legislation – from the local to regional and national level.

We raise awareness of the benefits social care can bring to individuals and communities, and aim to ensure all of us who need care and support can live the lives we want regardless of age, ability and background.

Our President

Melanie Williams is ADASS President from 24 April 2024 until April 2025 and Jess McGregor is ADASS Vice President.

Regions

There are nine ADASS branches (based upon local government regions) with membership consisting of all Directors of adult social care from within that region.

Constitution

The constitution, revised in 2023, clearly defines the purpose, values and objectives of the association.

Our policy priorities

As a charity, ADASS seeks to influence policies, decision makers and public discourse that could help to transform the lives of people needing and providing care.

Our policy networks

At ADASS we have groups which focus on our national Priority and Enabling Policy areas as well as others who come together as Expert Reference Groups and focus on wider policy areas. Regional representation is key in all our network groups. We want to encourage a two-way feedback mechanism, with representatives expected to feed back […]

Annual reports

Our Annual Reports are published in April of each year and are distributed to members before the annual spring seminar and AGM.

Opportunities
