Accelerate programme

Preparing Leaders for Change

ADASS is committed to supporting our members with their professional development. Delivered in partnership with Newton, we will be launching the eight year of our Accelerate programme in November 2024.

We have been delighted with the feedback we have received from the previous cohorts; and despite the significant challenges of the last years, Accelerate continues to be seen as an essential development programme for those leaders who are overseeing or managing complex change programmes.

Accelerate supports senior leaders (working at the director or assistant director level) to develop the leadership capabilities required to oversee, or manage teams to deliver complex transformational change.

The programme, which involves four short residential modules over a 10-month period, starts in March every year.

Applications for the next cohort will open in November 2024.

We are very keen that our 2025 delegate group reflects the diversity we want to see at the highest level of leadership in the sector. Just under half of our current cohort have protected characteristics where discrimination and unconscious bias may occur and this year we again would particularly encourage applications from candidates with those protected characteristics.

If you wish to find out more, there will be regional info sessions for ADASS members. Please see below for dates and contact details to sign up.
