Responding to news that Baroness Casey brought representatives from the main political parties together today, our President Jess McGregor said:

“We are pleased to see cross-party talks held today about the future of adult social care. With an aging population and council budgets pushed to the brink, the issue is too important to risk becoming a political football. We want to see all parties engaged on the best way forward and while we wait to hear more about who attended and what was discussed, we commend the Casey Commission for starting out with this symbolic meeting and look forward to engaging further.” You can read more about the meeting, with insights from our annual survey here.
