ADASS have worked closely with Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) and the National Co-production Advisory Group (NCAG) to co-produce their new Vision for Co-production, which was launched to mark Co-Production Week 2025.

The Vision sets out ADASS’s commitment to embedding co-production in all aspects of their work – as a national team, a membership organisation, and a system leader. Co-produced from the start, the Vision has been shaped by the voices of people with lived experience, ADASS staff and trustees, and regional colleagues.

Built around shared values and practical steps, the Vision includes a set of ‘co-production enablers’—a kind of recipe for long-term change. It reflects the belief that co-production is built on fairness, relationships and empowerment; and that when we come together as equals we can share ideas, make decisions and create things that work for everyone.

Melanie Williams, ADASS President 2024/25, said:

“We’re proud to share our Vision. I want to say a big thank you to Think Local Act Personal and the National Co-production Advisory Group who have co-produced this Vision with us.”

Isaac Samuels, Co-Chair of the National Co-production Advisory Group, said:

“Co-production means creating space for all voices to be heard — especially those from marginalised communities. True change happens when we recognise the value of lived experience, challenge inequality, and build solutions together.”
