Our policy networks

Our policy networks

ADASS have a variety of national Policy Networks and Groups.

The purpose of these networks and groups is to bring together colleagues from across the country, along with partner organisations where appropriate, to focus on specific areas of policy and help us to shape our policy lines based on intelligence from across the membership. We can then use this in national discussions with government departments, to shape our work, as well as help to share practice, learning and tackle key issues.

At ADASS we have groups which focus on our national Priority and Enabling Policy areas as well as others who come together as Expert Reference Groups and focus on wider policy areas.

Regional representation is key in all our network groups. We want to encourage a two-way feedback mechanism, with representatives expected to feed back to their regional networks and bring the wider viewpoints to the national groups based on discussions with colleagues in their region. Regional representatives must have an active role in their region, such as that of a network lead or chair of a regional network, or as a minimum be an active member of the relevant regional network or area of work, so the link is maintained. Find out more about the role of a regional representative.

Our groups all have a lead or co-leads, these leads are made up from those who are members. We advertise these opportunities via the Bulletin. Find out more about the roles below:
