Carers Leeds have established a working group, involving third sector partners and carers, to strengthen partnership working across organisations to benefit carers from BAME communities. The working group have planned and are delivering a series of BAME carer roadshows to raise awareness of caring and provide information about support available for carers in Leeds.

The Carers Community Network (CCN) is a unique online forum offering carers 24/7 access to peer and professional support alongside information, experience and idea sharing.

Carers Support Centre (Bristol & South Glos) have been running walk and talk groups for carers since August 2022, which take place over 6 consecutive weeks in local green spaces, particularly in areas of multiple deprivation.

Portsmouth Carers Service Carers Cookery and Wellbeing Breaks programme gives adult unpaid carers the opportunity to participate in activities which offer a break from caring. The activities offered also support carer health and wellbeing by promoting healthy eating, emotional, and physical and wellbeing activities, opportunities to develop new skills and interests, social engagement, and the chance to get outdoors to enjoy the natural world.

The Carers Education Course is a 6-week training course for carers of those with mental health conditions and was nominated for and won the South West Integrated Personalised Care Awards in the ‘Giving Confidence’ category.

Homeshare is an innovative project that can benefit people at the start of a caring journey for their parents, as well as for their parent themselves.

West Sussex County Council are undertaking pro-active work to help carers tackle the cost of living and financial hardship.

In May 2023, North Lincolnshire Council's Carer Strategy Partners took a system-wide approach to improving the identification and recognition of Carers in North Lincolnshire. This was initiated through the “Carer Friendly North Lincolnshire” campaign which delivered a wide communications campaign to raise awareness of Carers.

The carer break service in North Yorkshire was commissioned in October 2023 and is delivered by 3 lead voluntary organisations and 7 partner organisations. Rooted in a place-based approach this volunteer delivered model suits our local authority geography to support meeting the needs of carers in super rural, rural, and urban areas.

Nottinghamshire County Council's new Carers Strategy was fully co-produced by carers with lived experience along with other key Stakeholders.
