Digital and ambient scribes – AI-enabled tools like Magic Notes that listen to conversations and automatically generate records of them – are rapidly transforming how interactions with public services are documented in social care, health and beyond. As this technology becomes more prevalent, join us at a free event in York on 17th March 2026, hosted by the Administrative Fairness Lab, to explore new research and experiences in practice tacking:

  • How do we build trust in its use?
  • What does meaningful consent look like?
  • What works on the ground where this has been rolled out?

Speakers include the Ada Lovelace Institute, Beam, Nesta, local authorities using these tools, among others.
