The coming days and months are set to be amongst the most challenging that adult social care has ever faced.  This is a national emergency for adult social care, and we need additional help us to continue to deliver our national response, influence decision-making and support ADASS members and partners over winter and into reform.

Administrative support

We are looking for an experienced administrator who can support the work of the team and provide an effective business support service.

About the role

Administrative Support – Fixed term [Home-based role]

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced administrator on a fixed-term basis until the end of 31st March 2022 to help us deliver our expanded programme to support our continued response to winter and Covid-19.  You will need to deliver an effective business support service to Trustees, the team and members, including supporting communications including via bulletins, and our relationship management software, being the first point of contact via email, website or phone, and helping with virtual seminars and events. This is a home-based role.


Skills, knowledge and experience

You will have:

  • Excellent administration and diary management skills with at least 2 years’ experience
  • Experience of arranging high level meetings, events and seminars
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Experience of using email systems such as Mailchimp and CRM systems.
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to keep colleagues on time and to task
  • A resilient and flexible approach to work in order to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • An understanding of the role of ADASS and the work it carries out.
