Context

As a charity we are dealing with growing agenda that is increasingly dominated by reform, winter and sustainability issues. To support our work over the coming months we are seeking additional capacity to help us address these vital challenges and to support our wider work to deliver the ADASS business plan 2021-24.

About the role

We are seeking additional capacity to support our small, but high performing team until the end of March 2022 to provide the following:

  • Briefings and presentations
  • Analysis & Research
  • Report writing, drafting articles and think pieces
  • Survey support
  • Support to deliver of one or more of the key business plan priority areas
  • Stakeholder engagement & parliamentary activity.

 

We are seeking up to 40 days (0.4FTE) at senior officer level (circa £65,000 p.a. pro rata/£450 per day) for nineteen weeks until the end of March 2022. We are open to a number of contracting arrangements, including fixed term and/or consultancy contracts.  

 

About you

We are looking for someone who has experience at a senior officer/Assistant Director level, and an understanding of regional or national work. You will have experience of operational roles locally, and/or policy work and influencing roles at a national level. You will be a highly effective and versatile operator, able to work independently and at pace and in partnership with ADASS colleagues, and with government, the NHS and other external partners.  In the current environment an ability to work remotely is essential.

Applicants must be ready to work flexibly – in terms of how they work their part time hours, and in taking on a range of tasks, dictated by the very fast moving and changing environment.
