The session will include contributions by Sam Manners (DfE Project Lead) and Pete Dwyer (Director of Children and Young People’s Services, North Yorkshire County Council. The focus of the session will be to share learning from a co-creation approach between DfE; 10 Local Authorities (LAs); the independent (Mott MacDonald and Core Assets) and voluntary sectors (BAAF) to the development and use of the Adoption Support Fund ahead of the full national rollout in 2015.

The session aims to increase the awareness of the purpose of the adoption support Fund work, the policy underpinning and reasons for the establishment of the fund and the critical success factors

We will share learning on the development of an outcome based QA methodology and how this could be used more widely, lessons learnt and messages from its first period of operation.

One of the prototype LAs will tell their story of being part of the project and especially focus on how the approach taken has added value and supported them to deliver innovation.
