You may be interested to know that ‘Think Autism’ an update to the 2010 adult autism strategy was launched on World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April, this cross-government strategy is an essential step towards realising the government’s long-term vision for transforming the lives of adults with autism.

Think Autism reaffirms the importance of the five areas for action aimed at improving the lives of adults with autism identified in the 2010 strategy, but with a new focus on building supportive communities, promoting innovative local ideas and services and improving advice and information for people with autism. Think Autism is also backed by a package of new funding of £4.5 million to help promote innovation, create better autism aware communities, and to support better joined up information and the use of technology.
