A MAJOR REPORT into the quality and safety of adult social care services in England shows that in general, sector-led improvement – the means by which local authorities review each others’ performance - is working well. The National Progress Report was commissioned by the Towards Excellence in Adult Social Care (TEASC) programme. It was prepared/written by the TEASC Information to Support Improvement Reference Group with input from strategy and performance regional leads and contributions from ADASS, Local Government Association (LGA), Think Local Act Personal (TLAP), Department of Health (DH) and (Health and Social Care information Centre (HSCIC). It is an annual report by the sector on progress in social care priorities.
