Presentations from Sarah Norman (Strategic Director Community, Wolverhampton City Council) and Marcus Coulson and Pete Rentell (Programme Managers, LGA) to National Children and Adult Services Conference 2014
Friday 31st October 2014, 9.00am
Peer Challenge is key mechanism for sector led improvement in both adults and children's services. This session used the experience from both regional and national peer challenges in both services to outline how it can bring about improvement in councils and their partners. Using recent evaluations of peer challenge work and the experiences of two leaders in these fields, the session identified success factors attendees can take away to apply to their own work within their own councils. It also covered the similarities and differences between these the two areas, and identified key policy and practice lessons for sector led improvement going forward.
