Presentations by Carl Marsh, CQC and Christine Lenehan, Council for Disabled Children to National Children and Adult Services Conference 2014

Wednesday 29th October 2014, 2.15pm

An interactive session with senior policy-makers from the Department of Health on the key issue of transition out of Children's services. There was a particular focus on the new Education Health and Care Plans and the impact of the extension of the age range to 25, as well as on the experience of children and young people transitioning out of CAMHS. The aim of the session was to spark debate about the best way - both in policy and in practice - to ensure that transition out of children's services is smooth, seamless and works well for young people and their families, in the context of the wider policy drive towards integration.
