A Guide to Getting Ready for Implementation of the Care Act 2015/16

The Care Act presents the most significant reform of care and support in more than 60 years.  This session, jointly hosted by Department of Health, Local Government Association and ADASS, is aimed at delegates with a strategic or operational role in implementing the Act.  Through a combination of presentation, case studies and Q & As, the session will: describe what the implementation will look like in 2015/16 and 2016/17; focus on the need to get ready for implementation in April 2015; explain what implementation support is available now and what else will be developed; share examples of good practice from across the country; and identify some of the significant risks that all areas should be considering at this stage.
