Come along and hear about two major sources of evidence and support for how you can assure yourself that your council with its partners are looking in the right areas to make further savings.  There will also be plenty of time for discussion.

Professor John Bolton will share the learning from the recently published Local Government Association programme where 50 councils were supported to find savings in a range of areas.  John has extensive experience in policy and in senior roles in councils, so will be able to add his own taken on this.

Rachel Ayling will share the learning from the pilot programme where councils were supported to assess their own savings programmes against a value based methodology, and will share the updated self assessment framework
