Hampshire Adult Safeguarding Board Chair

The Safeguarding Adults' Board in Hampshire:  We are now seeking an outstanding individual to Chair the Board through our next phase of implementation and embedding of the Care Act 2014. You will need to build on our successes and provide effective leadership and challenge at a strategic level to ensure the Board continues to have an objective and independent identity. The role involves chairing programmed meetings and sub groups and ensuring that the Board works effectively with good collaboration between its members, encouraging and supporting the developments of partnership working across all aspects of the safeguarding agenda. Key to the role will be ensuring that the voice of service users and carers is heard throughout.

You will have sound knowledge of safeguarding adults work, experience of public sector working at a senior level and be comfortable with complex strategic meetings.

The commitment to the role is 22-25 days per annum and the role will commence in the Autumn.

This is a fixed-term 3 year contract.
