ADASS and the LGA welcome the opportunity to contribute to this consultation as we fully support the movement towards greater service cohesion and integration to meet local needs and improved outcomes, and these proposals will help to formalise arrangements to more readily allow for CCGs to work together on issues that cut across organisation boundaries and areas of responsibility. However, it is critical that such proposals enhance and contribute to the jurisdiction of Health and Wellbeing Boards to coordinate and plan health and care services for local people and communities (as supported by the Government in the White Paper) as well as supporting individuals to exercise choice and control over how their needs are met.
