To accompany the Guide to Efficient and Effective Interventions for Implementing the Care Act, the ADASS Carers Policy Network have produced a self-assessment tool for Local Authorities.

The development of this self-assessment tool was supported with funding from the Department of Health and Social Care to aid delivery and support for the Care Act and other related duties involving carers.

The objective of this work is to provide an opportunity for self-assessment and local reflection to provide indications of what is going well and where things could be done differently in the future. It has been developed with Local Authority Carers Leads and Commissioners.

Please read the guidance document before starting to use the self-assessment tool.
