Update on Better Care Fund planning guidance 2016-17

Unfortunately we are still experiencing delays in publishing the detailed planning guidance. Any resulting changes to the timetable for completing Better Care Fund plans will be set out within and alongside publication of the guidance.

Local areas may find it helpful in the meantime to refer to the Better Care Fund 2016-17 Policy Framework that was published on 8 January, and can be found here.

Please read the guidance tab before completing and direct any queries to as usual.

Successful inaugural 2016-7 programme planning workshop held

Our first 2016 –7 programme planning workshop took place on Monday 8 February. It was very well attended and discussions were very positive. The second meeting in the series will be held in approximately six weeks’ time to progress and refine the initial themes covered. Outcomes and proposed actions will be circulated in due course.

Regional Learning and Sharing in Newcastle, Cambridge and Leicester

This week we’ve continued the delivery of our regional learning and sharing events, with events in Newcastle, Cambridge and Leicester. These continue to be really interesting events, with some inspiring and thought provoking presentations from local areas. A key theme from all these events has been that there are lots of people and teams across the country dealing with similar challenges and hurdles, so networking and cross-pollination of ideas is really important. The presentations from the events will all be shared on the PCC website and the Better Care Exchange – we’ll circulate links soon.

The last three events in this series will take place in London (23 February), Reading (25 February) and Wellington / Taunton (2 March). Sign up for these events using the links below:

Tuesday 23rd February 2016, London
Thursday 25th February 2016, Reading
Wednesday 2nd March 2016, Wellington /Taunton

Don’t miss out on Data Sharing training

If you haven’t booked your place on our Data Sharing workshop yet, there are still a few spaces left at the events taking place in Leeds (24th February) and Birmingham (26th February). Unfortunately the London session is fully booked, although we may run a second if demand is high enough.
