ADASS Responds to the Government 'Regular retesting rolled out for care home staff and residents' announcement
The Government has today announced regular re-testing to be rolled out for care home staff and residents, as part of a new social care testing strategy. Responding to the announcement, James Bullion, ADASS President, said:
'We welcome this important announcement, which will place regular testing at the heart of our ongoing response to the current wave, help us to respond to local outbreaks and to prepare for any future waves.
'Crucially, this will help keep safe those of us who have care and support needs and protect those colleagues who provide vital care and support.
'This will be an important tool which will help protect our communities. Our members will work with colleagues across Government, social care and the wider local government family to make this work.
