The NHS performance figures show our hospitals are struggling to treat the number of people needing acute care in a crisis. ADASS President Julie Ogley said:
“There’s a long term plan for the NHS that should enable additional funding for primary and community services, and this is in addition to the further capital funding for hospitals announced last weekend. However, unless social care is a priority for the Government, then people will continue to go into hospital when this could be prevented. We need both short term and long term funding solutions.”
