We are looking for an experienced Events Coordinator to support us to deliver a major two-day ADASS event, in partnership with a commercial partner, in September 2022.  The Leadership in Care summit will look to build on the strong foundations provided by the inaugural summit which took place in 2021.  This is an opportunity to work with a cutting-edge national organisation to deliver a genuinely innovative event and explore crucial issues relating to leadership in social care.

This is a vital time for adult social care, with critical work underway to recover from the pandemic, shape reform, respond to the next phase of personalised care and sustainable systems and ensure a renewed focus on delivering more care and support in people’s homes and communities. This event will play a key role in exploring what this means for neighbourhood, local and system leadership.

We are looking for someone with exceptional organisational skills, extensive experience of delivering major conferences and events and tact and diplomacy to support us to deliver this major event.  The Coordinator will play a central role in leading the development, delivery and evaluation of the Summit.  Working closely with ADASS staff and Trustees the key skills and experience needed include:

  • Working closely with a commercial partner
  • Procurement and agreement of contracts and sub-contracts
  • Venue liaison both in the run up to and on-site during the event
  • Promotion and publicity
  • Programme support and speaker liaison
  • Event registration

ADASS has a positive approach to achieving a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.

We are looking for expressions of interest from individuals or organisations, initially for up to 25 days over the next six months to cover the 2022 event.  We are inviting interested parties to submit an expression of interest of no longer than 2 sides (outlining their relevant skills and experience and detailing availability, basis, and proposed day rates, where relevant), and a CV.

Please send your EOI to phil.mccarvil@adass.org.uk by 5pm on Friday 1st April 2022.
