Guidance
The Association publishes a number of these each year, each one laying down detailed advice and guidance on a specific area of directors' or departments' work. They are usually, but not necessarily, generated by our Policy Networks, responding either to demands from the field, or to perceived needs among managers and practitioners. Title: Summary of the statutory responsibilities of Local Authorities in relation to adult social care and the statutory role of the DASS
Title: ADASS position on Ordinary Residence The position has now been reviewed and it is planned that the original document will be revised, both to include options for arbitration and in the light of the revised guidance on Ordinary Residence recently issued by the Department of Health. It is also proposed that when it is re-issued, it will have the status of a reference note which local authorities may use if they find it helpful.
