Public Health Policy Lead
Issues surrounding public health, and the way we work with children's and public health directors have shot up the agenda in recent years. Some important public health battles have been engaged and won - not least the triumph of ending smoking in public places, and the steady reduction in the number of smokers, and smoking related illnesses, that have been recorded. The National Lead for public health is at the forefront of developing new ways of working partnership with colleagues from other local government departments and elsewhere to take key public health areas of concern forward.
