Terms of Reference

1. To exercise the functions with regard to best value, performance management & assessment and contracting mechanisms

2. To exercise the functions with regard to information and communications technology and data systems development, management and standards.

3. To consider and filter information and research requests on behalf of the association.

4. To stimulate studies into the effectiveness of social services provision and to promote achievement of the objects of the association.

5. To consider matters connected with the quality of service provided by social services authorities, including reference to internal and external inspection work and regulation.

6. To consider matters connected with the organisation of social services in consultation with other committees as required.

7. To initiate and carry out such consultations as appropriate for the purposes or carrying out its terms of reference.
