Terms of Reference

1. To consider on behalf of the Association issues concerning services for older people.
    

2. To promote the improvement of social care and health care for vulnerable people.

3. To ensure that the Committee promotes an inclusive approach to the issues facing older people.
    
4. To strengthen and promote links with other organisations in order to pursue joint objectives of improvements in social policy and professional practices which seek to combat the comparative social disadvantage of older people.
    
5. To make recommendations to the Executive on the work of the Association in respect of vulnerable older people.
    
6. To initiate and carry out such consultations as appropriate for the purposes of carrying out its terms of reference.
