produced by ADSS, BDA, LGA and RNID in July 1999. The
full English version is now available to download above. The
standards have also been produced in Welsh and are available as a bilingual

Deaf Children: Positive Practice Standards
in Social Services.
Jacqui Smith MP, launched this joint
publication on 11 March 2002 at the Department of Health. It was produced
by a task force comprising of ADSS, BDA, LGA, NDCS, NCB and RNID. It
provides guidelines and resource materials for social care professionals.
There are also parents' checklists to help parents evaluate the services
they obtain for their children. The full report and an executive summary
